Role Overview
The QA Lead will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance process for Livetainment Games' suite of products. This individual will lead to build the department with a strong team of QA engineers, establish robust testing strategies, and ensure seamless delivery of high-quality software. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product, and design, to identify quality metrics, automate testing, and maintain a culture of quality across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a team of QA engineers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Define and implement quality assurance strategies, processes, and best practices across projects.
- Act as the primary point of contact for QA-related matters, both internally and externally.
Technical Expertise:
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, and Python.
- Oversee manual and automated testing, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
- Integrate QA processes into CI/CD pipelines for seamless testing and deployment.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and designers to define quality metrics and ensure feature readiness.
- Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily standups to ensure testing coverage aligns with development goals.
Process Optimization:
- Identify and mitigate risks in the testing process, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality releases.
- Regularly evaluate and enhance QA tools and processes to align with industry standards.
- Create detailed test plans, cases, and documentation to support testing efforts.
Key Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in both manual and automated testing across web, mobile, and backend platforms.
- Strong coding skills in Python, Java, or similar languages.
- Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium).
- Proficiency in API testing tools (Postman, JMeter) and performance testing.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Certifications:
- ISTQB certification or similar is a plus.
